“That coffee is unreal.”Praise or complaint? Most AI models guess wrong.

Popular sentiment models learn mostly from American English, so Irish customers confuse them. This model was trained on how Irish people actually write reviews. Try it with your own.

One review per line, up to 50.

    About this demo

Everything runs in your browser. Your reviews never leave your device. The first visit downloads the model (about 125 MB), and your browser keeps a copy for next time.

The model was fine-tuned by DL Consultancy on 300 review-style phrases covering Irish idioms, intensifiers, understatement, understated complaints, sarcasm and words like “grand”. In testing, accuracy on Irish English rose from about 50% to 78%. Sarcasm is still hard for it. Treat the results as a guide, and have a person check anything that matters.

It was built entirely with free tools: Excel, Google Colab and Hugging Face. See the model and the dataset.
